What to Expect with Your Newborn’s Feeding and Sleep

What to expect with your newborn's feeding and sleep

This video will help you understand what is “typical” feeding and sleep behavior for your baby under 12 weeks, and will also explain what to look for as your baby transitions past that 12 week mark.

Remember your newborn will tell you everything you need to know

The internet is so noisy… and full of opinions.

If something is working for you with feeding and sleep, even if it isn’t what I say or the internet does, I would encourage you to do what is best for your family.

Your intuition as a parent is strong, and learning to trust yourself so early in your parenting journey is a massive gift to you and your baby.

I wish I had learned this sooner… I am still practicing after all these years!

The other thing I think is important to note is that if you are having major sleep issues with your newborn… it is likely feeding related. You can’t “sleep train” a newborn. It is about figuring out what the underlying issue is, resolving it, and then watching sleep improve.

If you need help, our newborn package does exactly this. It is a 90-120 minute in person or virtual session where we will help you figure out what is going on with your newborn… and then support you for a month. You can learn more about it here (and it is covered through HSA & FSA accounts!).

I am sending you so much love and support. You are exactly what your baby needs, even on days it doesn’t feel like it!
