How do I Get my Baby to Sleep Through the Night?

This is the million dollar question. So many mamas wonder.. it is probably the most asked question on our social feeds. So today I want to talk about it.

✔️There is no magic age or magic weight where a baby is “ready” to sleep through the night. This is very baby dependent.

✔️Sleep is personal. It’s only a problem if it’s a problem for you.

✔️The first stretch is the best stretch. Babies have their deepest sleep in the first third of the night. Comment below if your baby does this, then feeds at 1, at 3, at 5 etc. This is because they are in lighter sleep and looking for what put them to sleep in the first place.. they fell asleep with mom and woke up in their crib and that’s scary!
✔️It’s all about what the feeds LOOK like. Watch your baby! Effective, active feeding looks like big sucks and swallows. If he slows to more of a flutter suck, try breast compression and if he continues to flutter suck, change him and put him back in his crib. This will teach him to feed when he’s hungry and sleep when he’s tired.
✔️If you’re bottle feeding, try paced feeding. It gives your baby control to suck when he’s hungry and stop when he’s done.

Try this mamas! I want to know, how many times a night are you up with your baby?
