Frequent Questions or Concerns

Hey!
We wanted to give you an opportunity to learn more about what The Mama Coach actually is!

It is a video conference call where I will meet you in a Zoom chat and share exactly what The Mama Coach is, how I got started, what training looks like, a deep look into what our programming looks like, and our business tools. It is a time for you to ask questions and learn more. If it resonates with you, I would love to know more about you. There is no obligation, nor will you feel pressured for anything! As a nurse and business owner, I am passionate about sharing what The Mama Coach is and am looking to meet nurses who are as excited to support new families as I am.

We are the only group of Registered Nurses in North America doing what we are doing. So, first off, you need to be a Registered Nurse! We all come from different backgrounds, and what is most important is strong assessment skills. I will teach you everything you need to know about pregnancy, birth, postpartum, feeding, sleep, and parenting. But, we determine what education and support our clients need by first doing an assessment. I will teach you all of these assessments, but strong nursing assessment skills are definitely required.

This is a common question! It is 100% dependent on the efforts you put in. If you put in the efforts to letting your community know you are ready to support them, you will have clients! Many nurses are able to scale back at their current job within the first year of launching their practice.
Again, this ranges. We are not a franchise, so I do not require Mama Coaches to disclose their financial information to me. I can tell you that there are Mama Coaches who consistently see 4 clients a week and charge between $400-$650 per client. Every nurse has different goals. Some want to make an extra $1000 per month for their family, and some want to replace their nursing income! It would be 100% your practice, and completely up to you.
No! We are a group of Registered Nurses! We are health professionals who share a brand. This is a license based business, which means you are licensed to use the trademark, all copyrighted programming and business tools and branding. We provide the training, mentorship and ongoing support. There are no minimums you must meet. It would be your own business.
Covid has put a huge strain on North America’s health care systems. We have seen so many services for families suspended or cancelled due to the inability to provide them or due to cost. We have been so fortunate to see growth during Covid. We have been working hard to fill the gaps created by Covid, and meet new families needs. It is a hard time to have a baby! Being sent home from the hospital early, without their typical support systems have been challenging. We have been seeing these mamas virtually and helping them along. Now, more than ever, families are looking for education and support from a health professional.

Yes, often they are! It is dependent on their insurance and we also accept HSA and FSAs for payment.

Yes, we do. I worked with an American legal team to ensure we are compliant.
It is two months long- it involves direct mentorship as you work through your first five clients, plus extensive help on social media (weekly discussions), help setting up workshops and collaborations, and community networking. We meet weekly for a webinar (which is recorded if you can’t make it).
Yes, if you can find some! The more present you are at training, the more you will take out of it!

Yes, this does happen from time to time. The times it hasn’t worked out has been a result of the nurse realizing she did not want to be her own boss and preferred an employee/employer relationship which this isn’t. It is 100% yours and you have the autonomy to work as much or as little as you’d like.

Depends on how you want to use your practice. You will become way more effiecient even two months after launching. Most work on their practices around 15 hours per week at the beginning.
You can choose to leave your practice at any time, you just need to give 30 days notice.
I do not set the prices for you- we set them together. We will look at competition in your area and come up with pricing. Our model is to be the most qualified, but not the most expensive. We typically charge between $400- $650 dollars for two weeks of support.
Yes, we work with a third party financing company who has helped many Mama Coaches get set up. We also do accept credit cards.
