Bio

Pregnancy and Parenting has not come easy for me. As a pediatric nurse who specializes with infant and toddlers, I thought I knew all there was before becoming a mom. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I became very sick from day one and was in and out of the hospital needing treatment for hyperemesis gravidarum. I felt so alone and isolated because so little is/was shared about this online or in mom groups. Then at 37 weeks my blood pressure sky rocked and was induced to welcome my baby girl. Our postpartum journey was hard, my daughter struggled with breastfeeding and had issues with her bilirubin levels. After what seemed like countless appointments with lactation, we made the switch to bottle/formula feeding. Given my struggles, which are common for so many moms, I thought I would be content with one child. Fast forward to three years later and we just recently welcomed our second child, a son. Being pregnant and having a baby during a global pandemic really opened my eyes to gaps in our healthcare system with regards to maternal health. It has lit a fire in me to want to help families and moms out there feel empowered and supported by creating a safe space with zero judgment.
